MY Asteroid Belt

I was out and about in Haine making friends with the Serpentis corporation when Daedus asked me if I'd provide security while he did some mining in his hulk. I cordially agreed and took a glance at local to see who else was hanging out in Haine. There were a bunch of names I didn't recognize but no reds. The scanner showed a bunch of Caldari wrecks that made me think that the interlopers into Haine were simply mission runners. I took the RGDC Zippy out to the asteroid belts to make sure they were clear of people waiting to gank an unsuspecting hulk. As I warped to the last asteroid belt on my check-list, a ship popped up on the overview. Who is this I pondered? Don't they know that Haine is the personal property of my corporation? (I only let the Gallente Federation think it belongs to them.) It was on.

I didn't recognize the ship configuration so I had to check with the computer. Some sort of industrial ship. I locked my target, scrambled it's warp drive and zipped into the range of my Tristan's weapons. My Neutron Phase Cannons and Piranha Missiles lit up the darkness as my Hobgoblin drone circled around. The industrial tried to escape but I needed to send a message about mining my asteroid belt so I kept pace. Before long there was a brilliant explosion and the sight of an escape pod warping off to location unknown. I wandered over to the wreck and claimed the spoils: a Tech II cargo expander and Tech II 100MN Microwarp Drive. Not too shabby.

I suspect Makita Raven will think twice before she tries to steal my asteroids again. Certainly not while the RGDC Zippy is on patrol.

Quickie

I wasn't out and about in New Eden for very long last night. I helped out Master Hulio with a bit of mining in Allebin and then went shopping for a Vexor class cruiser. Master Hulio was getting tired of having to change the fitting on his ship every time he switched from mining to mission running and figured it would be better to just get another ship. By the end of the night the RGDC Krang was picked up, insured and delivered to Master Hulio's personal hangar. May they have a wonderful and long life together.
